The goal of the fund governance segment is to address how the governance of a fund is structured and implemented. The aim is for fund managers to have in place the appropriate structure, processes and procedures for the proper governance of a fund that they manage and for investors to engage on governance issues and to maximise the value of their contributions. Topics that will be addressed include the governance structure of funds, the role and fiduciary responsibilities of the advisory committee (AC) and its members, and the types of issues that an AC may have to address.
The corporate governance segment is a high-level overview of a company’s corporate governance framework, the role and functions of the board of directors and management. Topics that will be addressed include governance structures, fiduciary responsibilities, functioning of the governance bodies, duties and responsibilities, international best practices, role of committees, and types of issues that boards may have to address.
