London, UK, Friday 16th September 2016: The African Private Equity and Venture Capital Association is pleased to share that Research and Training Manager, Dr. Ponmile Osibo, moderated a discussion on private equity investment in Africa for Financier Worldwide Magazine. The discussion took place between Hasnen Varawalla at Barclays Africa, Nick Tims at Investec Asset Management, and Lydia Shadrach-Razzino at ENSafrica.
Ponmile was recently promoted to Manager, Research & Training at AVCA, having joined the firm in early 2012 as a Research Analyst. He coordinates African private equity data collection and analysis, and manages the production of AVCA’s research and market intelligence products. His role also involves developing and facilitating in-depth training programs for fund managers and African institutional investors. Ponmile has a PhD in Chemical Engineering from The University of Birmingham and gained strong research experience during his doctorate degree, which focused on the various applications of hydrothermal fluids. He has previously worked on green technology research projects in Japan.
