He has been described by leading industry participants as ”putting Africa and the industry first before his self-interests” and ”tirelessly working to connect people in the industry to work together for the development of Africa and the private equity industry— even if those connections do not directly benefit him or his firm.”

Henry's leadership extends to industry bodies, with him being current chairman of the Africa Council at the Emerging Markets Private Equity Association (EMPEA). This is in addition to serving as board member at the African Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (AVCA). He sits on the advisory board of Maris Capital, and has served as a board member at Zambia Capital Partners and Central America Investment Managers (Mauritius).
