James is a Manager in the Responsible Investment team at Actis, advising on the ESG aspects of portfolio company performance. He has 12 years' experience in responsible investment, primarily serving the private equity, banking and development finance sectors. James was previously an E&S Manager at CDC Group (CDC), where he supported the Private Equity team with investments in Africa and South Asia. Prior to CDC, James was a senior consultant with Ramboll-Environ, advising a wide variety of clients across Africa, Europe and Asia. James holds an MSc in Applied Meteorology & Climatology from the University of Birmingham.
