Shane Rogel is Managing Director of South Suez Capital, the first independent Africa-focused fund of private equity funds manager. He is responsible for the day to day management of the company, including managing the activities of the investment team. This covers the sourcing of investments, the investment pipeline and due diligence processes as well as the monitoring of existing investments and their underlying companies. He sits on the Advisory Boards of a number of African Private Equity Funds. His professional experience includes working in the areas of corporate and contract law with particular focus on advising public, private and venture capital companies on deal structuring, shareholder matters, corporate litigation, liquidations and insolvency inquiries, advisory as well as the enforcement of judgments in foreign jurisdictions. His areas of expertise are private equity, acquisitions and joint ventures. Shane holds a Master of Business Administration degree and a Bachelor of Law (BProc) degree. He is an admitted attorney.
